Day 1: Ascend from Baoguo Temple to Golden Summit
Baoguo Temple → Fuhu Temple → Guangfu Temple → Qingyin Pavilion
Start at Baoguo Temple and hike through Fuhu and Guangfu Temples to reach Qingyin Pavilion. Approx. walking time: 220 minutes.
Qingyin Pavilion → Hongchunping
Continue hiking from Qingyin Pavilion to Hongchunping, passing the first monkey area. Lunch options available near Hongchunping. Approx. walking time: 90 minutes.
Hongchunping → Wash Elephant Pool
Trek through the “99 Bends” and Xiangfeng Temple to reach the Wash Elephant Pool, where you can rest for a while. Approx. walking time: 310 minutes.
Wash Elephant Pool → Leidongping
Continue to Leidongping, a checkpoint for all summit hikers. Approx. walking time: 70 minutes.
Leidongping → Jinding (Golden Summit)
Take the cable car from Jieyin Hall to Jinding, passing the second monkey area. Approx. time: 25 minutes.

Day 2: Sunrise at Golden Summit & Descend via Wannian Temple
Sunrise at Jinding or Wanfo Peak
Walk from Golden Summit to Wanfo Peak for sunrise. Approx. 35 minutes.
Descend via Cable Car & Shuttle Bus
Take the cable car down to Leidongping, then transfer to the shuttle bus towards Wannian Parking Lot.
Wannian Temple → Bailong Cave → Qingyin Pavilion → Exit
Hike from Wannian Temple (monkeys present) past Bailong Cave to Qingyin Pavilion, then exit the scenic area. Approx. walking time: 90–55 minutes.
Optional: Watch the “See Emei Again” performance before leaving.
