For those driving, it’s possible to reach the summit directly, but it’s recommended to park at Wuxiangang Parking. From there, you can explore Qingyin Pavilion, Yixiantian, the Ecological Monkey Area, and Wannian Temple.
The sightseeing shuttle from Wuxiangang to Leidongping takes about 1.5 hours, so self-driving up the mountain is not recommended due to the winding roads and motion sickness risks.
Near Qingyin Pavilion, the ecological monkey area can be visited on a 3-hour round-trip walk. Note that monkeys now cannot be touched and can only be observed behind fences. I still remember the old days when monkeys would jump onto my back to steal chocolate—memories like that are priceless!

To capture the sunrise at the Golden Summit, arrive at the viewing point at least 20 minutes early to secure a good spot. Even in summer, temperatures at the summit can be cold in the morning and evening, so bring a thick jacket, down coat, or windbreaker. If you’re in good shape, shorts are also fine.
The newly opened Wanfo Summit takes about 3 hours round-trip from the Golden Summit. After sunrise, return to your hotel for breakfast, then walk to Wanfo Summit, ring the bell, and make your wishes.
Accommodation: Staying at the Golden Summit is highly recommended for sunrise viewing. Hotels are limited, so book in advance.
